SPEAKERS

Mat began his career at Zenith Media, rising through the ranks to become its youngest Media Director at age 24.  He later joined WPP and launched MAXUS in Sydney.

In 2004 Mat joined Naked Communications as founding partner and subsequently became Asia Pacific CEO with responsibility for its offices in Australia, New Zealand and Japan.  In 2009 Mat joined MediaCom as Chief Strategy Officer and in late 2010 assumed the role of Chief Executive for UM Australia.

Matthew Deaner is our Executive Director. Matthew sits across all aspects of Screen Producers Australia's advocacy work, industrial negotiations, events and operational issues. He also works closely with our Council to set the strategic direction of the organisation as well as identify and execute new business development opportunities.
