You’re invited to join Michael Brealey, CEO of Create NSW - the NSW Office of Arts, Screen and Culture, and Screen Producers Australia CEO, Matt Deaner, as they discuss the current state of business following the merger of Arts NSW and Screen NSW.

With over 20 years’ experience in both the private and public sectors, including roles in ABC TV, Vodafone Australia and the Federal Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, Michael leads Create NSW in its activities to invest and shape the future of arts and culture in NSW. He is responsible for strategic leadership across the screen, arts and cultural cluster including collaboration with NSW Cultural Institutions and industry stakeholders.

SPEAKERS

Michael Brealey is the CEO of Create NSW - the NSW Office of Arts, Screen and Culture. Michael is responsible for strategic leadership and investment across the screen, arts and cultural cluster including collaboration with NSW Cultural Institutions and industry stakeholders across screen and arts. Michael comes to Create NSW from ABC TV where he was the Head of Policy, Strategy and Governance. Prior to the ABC Michael was the Manager of Public Policy and Content Standards for Vodafone Australia and held various roles in the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts working on cultural, broadcast and telecommunications policy.

Matthew Deaner is our Executive Director. Matthew sits across all aspects of Screen Producers Australia's advocacy work, industrial negotiations, events and operational issues. He also works closely with our Council to set the strategic direction of the organisation as well as identify and execute new business development opportunities.
