We're kicking off a new year of Breakfast Briefings with Angus Ross, Director of Network Programming at Seven Network, in conversation with Screen Producers Australia CEOMatthew Deaner as they discuss what’s happening in the year ahead for network television.

Responsible for the programming of the Network's four channels - Seven, 7TWO, 7mate and 7flix, Angus's decisions have resulted in apexed TV ratings over the last ten years, with household favorites – WantedThe Secret DaughterX Factor, and The Chase Australia, in addition to international pre-school and children's programming as examples of content performing beyond it's mark.

The Screen Producers Australia’s Breakfast Briefing series provides an informal forum for the screen industry to meet, network, stay connected and be inspired.

Prior to joining Seven, Angus worked for two years as a consultant for television research group Audience Development Australia.

SPEAKERS

Angus Ross, Director of Network Programming of the Seven Network, is responsible for the programming of its four channels - Seven, 7TWO, 7mate and 7flix – all of which have dominated the TV ratings over the last ten years.

Angus’ various roles at the Seven Network have included: Head of Scheduling and Acquisitions; Sydney Program Manager; Daytime Programmer and Head of Research.

Prior to joining Seven, Angus worked for two years as a consultant for television research group Audience Development Australia.

Adelaide-raised, Angus graduated from the University of South Australia in 1993 with a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Marketing.

Matthew Deaner is our Executive Director. Matthew sits across all aspects of Screen Producers Australia's advocacy work, industrial negotiations, events and operational issues. He also works closely with our Council to set the strategic direction of the organisation as well as identify and execute new business development opportunities.
